Got a new bike for Christmas and wondering where to go now? Try an urban cycle skills course with Frocks on Bikes. 3 hours of bikey goodness will have you rolling with confidence and style! (While these courses are usually aimed at women, the March 16th course will have an open-door (open bike?) for all keen to learn.)
These courses are run by En Velo and Pedal Ready with funding from WCC.

According to the frock-on-a-bike lady I followed yesterday, red lights don’t really matter as long as you look good doing it. I hope this is covered in the 3 hours.

What a useful comment to make Rob! I certainly hope you’re not implying that because one individual – who happened to be wearing a ‘frock’ – went through a red light once, it means that all ladies who wear frocks are reckless law breakers? If so, perhaps you should go join the stuff.co.nz forums – you’ll find more like-minded people there.
It may be of interest to you to know that, just as not all road cyclists are members of the Tar Babies (for example), not every lady in a frock on a bike has necessarily heard of Frocks on Bikes.
Frocks on Bikes not only encourages people to obey the law, but we are actively trying to up-skill riders out on the streets. We use the very best trainers Wellington (and NZ) has to offer – in fact, they helped write the book on cycle skills training.
It saddens me that you feel the need to discourage such efforts, with unnecessary and negative comments. Perhaps you could put your energy into trying to do something a bit more useful?
