This just in from the lovely ladies at Revolve:
We are so excited about the 1st ever NZ Women’s Cycling Festival starting TODAY! Yep that’s right… we are only hours away from the Weekend of Awesomeness with 17 different events over the weekend here in Wellington!
Registrations for the events that require registration (see www.nzwomenscyclingfestival.co.nz) close today at MIDNIGHT (so get on it!). There will be NO on the day registrations, except for the Movie night
And the following events are open to the guys as well:
-Cycle chic – TONIGHT
-Opening Ceremony – Fri Night
-Movie Night (last minute door-tickets available) – Sat Night
-Love the Ladies BBQ – Sun Night
-Frocknic and Closing Ceremony – Monday morning
The Frocks team have put together an amazing list of prizes for tonight’s first ever (in Wellington at least) backstreet Cycle Chic parade. Entry is free and you could win gift packs or vouchers from: Emporium, Good as Gold, Triumph & Disaster, Antipodes, iRide, Fredrick St Cafe and Lamason Brew Bar. Come strut your stuff, or sit back with a drink and admire those strutting!
Friday night, the Kennett brothers launch their new book, Muddy Olympians, at the Opening Ceremony. Free entry, some nibbles, Olympians(!) and some of Louise Sutherland’s personal belongings on display. How cool is that? It’s all happening at Southern Cross from 6pm.
Saturday is jam-packed full of action; too much to mention here. More info: http://nzwomenscyclingfestival.co.nz/Events/
For those interested in a quiet Saturday night, we’re hosting a movie night fundraiser. Pre-sold ticket holders recieve a free glass of vino, but there will also be door sales on the night. Changing Gear by Kiwi filmmaker Lisa Burd will be playing, along with clips from Beauty and the Bike if we have time. Tickets are on sale now via http://nzwomenscyclingfestival.co.nz/Events/Movie-Night-Fundraiser/
If that’s not enough, there are skills courses to suit all interests, bike polo, a BBQ and a frocknic! All the info and more right here: http://nzwomenscyclingfestival.co.nz/
