Summer’s frocking great: Frock-nic in the Wairarapa!

Saturday 3rd March – Frock-nic in the Wairarapa!
A great outing on quiet country roads, enjoying the best local wine, bakeries and lovely countryside.
Frocks On Bikes with the fabulous Patrick Morgan have organised a special big luggage van on the train to carry our bikes – for free! Come prepared for leisurely riding, picnic-ing, swimming, wine-tasting and sun.
Meet at 9.30 on the platform at Wellington on Saturday – we’ll buy tickets together to get the discounts. You can also get on board at Petone,Waterloo, Upper Hutt, & Maymorn.
There are different options for the route – we’ll decide on the day depending what we want! Route1: picnic, winery / pub stop, morning tea and a total of 40km pedalling (same as around the Wellington Bays) or an out-and-back shorter option with all the same picnic and drinking stops totalling 26k return.
Return from Carterton on the 5:05pm train.

Lots on in the Wairarapa this weekend! Carterton has the Wheelbarrow races, Golden Shears in Masterton and Martinborough Fair!
I can offer cycle hire for anyone who wants to leave their own bike at home or bring a friend who doesn’t have a bike.
$50 per person for the day hire, bikes to be collected from Carterton railway station. Stylie and comfortable Avanti Discovery 8 bikes with panniers for carrying your stuff.
